Zorro Rides Again Tunnel Of Terror 1937 WESTERN MOVIE SERIAL part 9
Zorro Rides Again’s official release date is 20 November 1937, although this is actually the date the sixth chapter was made available to film exchanges. A 68-minute feature film version, created by editing the serial footage together, was released on 22 September 1938 and re-released on 16 January 1959. The feature film had a working title of Mysterious Don Miguel before returning to the original name Zorro Rides Again. This was one of fourteen feature films Republic made from their serials.

Not as good as Support…Sheriff, perhaps, and probably not a “family” movie, as there are several scenes with couple of Madams, and some language. However, there are some good scenes with the Compleat Tomboy, Suzanne Pleshette, and Chuck Connors as the gunfighter–“I’ve shot myself!”.
There’s a neat story about Jack Elam and Audie Murphy who were good friends. They stopped off in a bar in Idawild or Hemet, somewhere around there. They were standing at the bar and some guy came up and started pushing Jack around. For about a second. What happens is pretty interesting reading, including what he did to a guy that was twice his size who tried to rob him.
James Garner’s terrific in Westerns, would love to see his Duel At Diablo and A Man Caled Sledge. Thanks very much.
