this movie runs real close to a 1936 movie about dr. mudd. “the prisoner of shark island” dr. mudd got life in prison for conspiracy to murder abraham lincoln ???. this had been in question for years. as a doctor all that he did was to fix the broken leg of john booth ??when an outbreak of yellow fever broke out and the prison doctor died, dr. mudd took over as doctor of the prison and saved many lives. the soldiers in the fort petition pres. johnson telling how mudd saved so many that after awhile he got a pardon. some what the same story, but different people. still very ejoyable.
