The avenger of long ago disappeared and now Jane takes on the part when the need for the old time hero presents itself again. Her father Colonel Bart Edwards is retired from the military and now runs a newspaper. This is the only known existing episode of this show. It is a shame because it looks like it could have been a great series with a young girl starring as a Zorro type character.

He has to overcome many obstacles to accomplish his job. This is the only known existing episode of this show. It is a shame because it looks like this could have been a very good series. This is a rough copy a bit blurry but still watchable. It is a miracle that there is any copy of this film at all. Also in this episode are Don Haggerty, Peter Breck, Phyllis Coates and Raymond Hatton. The film editor is Irving Berlin.

This is a great half hour television episode with a bit of drama, romance and comedy. In this episode Dan Kelly is a whiskey salesman and he winds up in a bit of hot water trouble. Along with Sloane there is Ben Cooper as Lt. Cohill. These are two characters straight out of the 1949 John Ford western movie “She Wore a Yellow Ribbon” starring John Wayne and John Agar in these parts. This is the only known existing episode of this series. It’s a shame, it looks like this could have been a good series bringing Duke’s cavalry character to the small screen. It is a miracle that there is any copy of this film at all.

Officer’s Choice western TV series episode pilot hosted by Randolph Scott and starring Scott Brady and Paul Kelly. This is the pilot episode of a suggested TV western anthology series titled Randolph Scott Theatre of the West. This pilot produced by Harry Joe Brown very likely was filmed in 1955 or early 1956 because the young Mimi Gibson is about the right age for 1955 and Paul Kelly passed away in late 1956. This is episode 18 of The Forsaken Westerns, an original TV series produced by Westerns On The Web Productions. In this episode Cliff McLean is the no nonsense Sheriff of the town of Lost Eagle in the year 1890. U.S. Ranger Will Yount comes to town to incorporate the help of McLean in locating an outlaw named Arlo Brandt. What a shame this series was not picked up by a network. There is a great cast and a good story but Randy Scott could not be in two places at once and his movie career was set to skyrocket again, with the release of the 1956 western film “7 Men from Now”. Westerns On The Web did release this film from or archives as an independent release in 2014. The discovery of this almost lost treasure played a big roll in our production company searching for more such rare western film gems and launching the series “The Forsaken Westerns”. Hostage western TV series episode from the Frontier western anthology series. This is the only copy of this episode of Frontier still known to exist, it is in rough shape but is watchable. From 1956 and starring Jack Kelly of the Maverick TV series fame, Jack starred as Bart Maverick in 83 episodes from 1957 – 1962. Also with Kenneth Tobey, Ted de Corsia, Trevor Bardette and Don Gordon. With narration by Walter Coy – (Aaron Edwards on The Searchers, John Wayne’s character Ethan Edwards brother). This is episode 38 of The Forsaken Westerns, an original TV series produced by Westerns On The Web Productions. In this episode a bank has been robbed and the bank clerk has been taken hostage by the outlaws. Kenneth Tobey worked in many westerns but is also very remembered for his Sci-fi work in such movies as “It Came from Beneath the Sea”, “The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms” and “The Thing from Another World” he also starred in 111 episodes of the tv series Whirlybirds as Chuck Martin.
