This is a seldom seen television show and stars John Payne. Most folks probably remember him most from Miracle on 34th street. But Johne Payne also starred in several western movies and this wonderful television series. The pilot aired as an episode of the Schlitz Playhouse. The basis for the series was the 1953- 54 radio series “The Six Shooter”, starring James Stewart and created by Frank Burt. Many of the series’ first-season episodes were adapted from episodes aired on radio.

This is a remake of the radio series The Six Shooter which starred James Stewart as Britt Ponsett. John Payne was a very good actor also.
