Directed by Don McDougall. With Steve McQueen, Barry Kelley, Philip Ahn, Addison Richards. Tom Wing is in trouble thanks to hot headed numb skulls in the town of Pinto. The easy going Asian banker was robbed and a good chunk of the money belonged to the townspeople. For some idiotic reason they are ready to string up Wing if they don’t get their money soon like it was his fault!

Josh Randall’s weapon is a modified Winchester 1892 .44-40 lever-action rifle called the “Mare’s leg” or Mare’s Laig. 44-40 (actual) – 45-70 (fictional) to make the shells in his belt look more impressive! – .30 WCF (fictional – according to script dialogue in season one) -Action – Lever-action Feed system 6 round Tubular magazine.

    I was wrong.
    It looks like it is a 45-70 lever action from the size of the cartridges on his belt.

    I think it was a .44-40. I’ve got one chambered for .45 long colt ammo. Most of the 1873 Winchesters made back then were .44-40 though. The shells he carries on his belt are NOT the right ones for that gun.
