AN APPEAL TO OUR VIEWERS

AN APPEAL TO OUR VIEWERS. Last night August 21, 2014 our YouTube Channel – westernsontheweb – was terminated! Not because we had broken any laws! We are always very careful not to violate the laws or the rules! Our channel was flagged as violating YouTube Community Guidelines. The video that was singled out was simply a video inviting people to come to Westerns On The Web and watch the Harry Carey movie LAST OF THE CLINTONS. We have the rights to post that movie! We truly believe the suspension of our YouTube account was in error. Lately we have been attacked by some who may not like what we are doing for some reason or other. Maybe they hate westerns! I would like to ask those of you who enjoy the westerns to contact YouTube and ask them to please reinstate our youtube channel westernsontheweb. We have not violated any copyrights! That is not the issue. We have a claim that some of our videos are spam. I really believe this is an error and am trying to resolve this with youtube. Westernsontheweb channel on YouTube has over 17,000 subscribers and over 4,000,000 views. So this is a bit disturbing. I really do thank all of you who will take the time to do this on our behalf. Here is the only email address I have found for YouTube so far – press@youtube.com
and here is their mailing address and phone #
YouTube, LLC
901 Cherry Ave.
San Bruno, CA 94066

PS – Some of our videos are down on the website and we will do our best to get them up and running again.
THANK YOU ALL AGAIN FOR WATCHING WESTERNS ON THE WEB.

Is there any chance of posting one or two episodes of “Brave Eagle” (1955-56)?
    Thank you.

Regarding your appeal to viewers that your YouTube account was terminated, I tried to contact YouTube to complain but just got a run-around and was unable to deliver a message. It seems that you may have to lead the charge to resolve this. I think I know why they reacted to Last of the Clintons in the way that they did. They may think the movie has something to do with Bill and Hillary Clinton and may want to avoid political controversy. Of course that’s not true but some people are just narrow minded. In any event, you seem to have more access to YouTube than viewers do. I’d be interest in how this works out. Good luck. Bob Giel
